  目:High-order well-balanced and asymptotic-preserving numerical schemes for the nonlinear shallow water equations

内容简介:Nonlinear shallow water equations are widely used in modeling free-surface flows in rivers and coastal areas. In this talk, we first consider the nonlinear shallow water equations over non-flat bottom and present explicit well-balanced (central) DG schemes for the equations. Then we investigate the nonlinear shallow water equations in low Froude numberε. Since the explicit schemes require that the time step must satisfy dt=O(εdx), this leads to an increasingly large computational cost as the Froude number becomes smaller. To avoid this issue, we present an asymptotic preservingIMEX RKDG method for solving the equations.The presented scheme is also an implicit well-balanced scheme for the equations. Finally, several numerical tests are carried out to validate the performance of our proposed schemes.

报告人简介:电子科技大学教授,博士生导师。2012年在重庆大学获理学博士学位。20118月到20128月在美国伦斯勒理工学院访问,20132月到20148月在北京计算科学研究中心做博士后研究,20149月到20188月在重庆大学工作并于20179月晋升副教授,20189月至今在电子科技大学工作,并于20235月晋升为教授。目前主要从事浅水波问题、两相流问题等流体力学问题的高精度数值方法研究。主持国家自然科学基金青年项目1项,面上项目2项,参与国家自然科学基金重点项目2项。迄今为止在JCPJSCSISCCICPJCAMANMCMA等期刊上发表学术论文30余篇。
